Pierre was born in South-Africa in 1965. He was introduced to the outdoors by his dad at the tender age of 8. He started hunting small birds and later progressed to stalking squirrels and rabbits with his BB gun. He did the usual "biltong" hunting until he was exposed to big game hunting in Botswana in 1984. Accompanied by some friends they hunted lion in the Kalahari and buffalo in the Okavango Delta. This triggered his passion for big game hunting and the seeds for a future career in the Professional Hunting Arena were sown.

He attended school in the well known Diamond Town of Kimberley and studied law at the University of the Free State in Bloemfontein.

Due to the ever changing Safari environment, a decision was taken in 2010 to establish a brand new venture in the form of Pierre Vorster Safaris. As the logo rightfully states this is a matter of "QUALITY FORGED BY EXPERIENCE SINCE 1984".

Today Pierre concentrates all his hunting in the Southern part of Africa. Sharing his time guiding in South-Africa, Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia and Zambia he can provide his clientele access to Top Class areas in these prime hunting destinations. Pierre lives in Pretoria and is married to Amanda. They are the proud parents of Megan.
